Attraction of the Year!!!!! 2009!!!!!!!

Once a year Disney picks an attraction to win the title of Attraction of the Year. This year after MUCH hard work Indiana Jones Adventure finally won. When we won the award I am not going to lie that I had tears in my eyes. Indy is my little "baby." The last time Indy won was 2005. The last time we had such a great summer was in 2001. I can't be more proud of my crew and all their hard work. Also during the awards I also won " Mudslide Efficiency Monster." Big Thunder Mountain Railroad also won an award it was "Battle of the Mountains." I am so proud of how far we have come over the past year. Great Job Everyone! I couldn't be more excited for things to come.

Crappy day!

As I was at school today one of the other second grade teachers had the guts to tell me that I was not a good teacher and should not be doing this. She told me I should find something else to do. Now let me remind you this lady has NEVER see me teach and knows nothing about me. I have no idea where she got her information from or why she said that. I did not know what to say to her. It took so much for me not to cry in front of her. I was glad that I was almost done copying so I could get the heck away from her.
I really do love what I am doing. Yes it is hard being away from home and I am not the person I was 6 months ago, but people have to understand that I have been through hell and I am not the happy person I use to be. I am trying to find that person again but it is not easy with everything that has gone on.
I love being with kids and am so ready for my own classroom. I just want to get this student teaching done and get back to Oregon where there are people that love me for me. Thanks to everyone for all the love and support you have given me. I would not be doing this if it was not for my father pushing me and for you. I love you all so much.

Las Vegas

Mom and Moe came to Las Vegas to see me. We all wanted to be together for father's day because we knew it would be hard. We got to spend time together. We had so much fun. We went and saw the Hoover Dam and hung out on the Strip. We all enjoyed it so much, but the weekend went by to fast and I was not ready to say good-bye Sunday night.

I wish the weekend could have lasted forever, but Moe had to get back to work.
I am so grateful to have Mom and Moe in my life they have been so much support to me as I am trying to get done with school. I am thankful to everything they do for me and am happy to call them my best friends. I love them both so much and cannot wait to be with them again.

6 Months

I cannot believe it has been 6 months. It sure has gone by fast. There is no way we would have made it without all the support, prayers, and love. I want to thank everyone for everything you have done for me and my family. We are so grateful for everything. There is no way we can thank you enough for all you have done.
My father would be so grateful for the help you have given my mother at this time. I know he is watching from above and is pleased at what he is seeing.
I know my father is where he needs to be and is doing what he needs to be doing. I am sure he is sharing the gospel with everyone and just being a great missionary up there. There are many time every day I can hear his voice telling me how happy he is and how he cannot wait for us to be together again. I am so blessed to have him as my father and I love him so much. I cannot wait for the day we will all be together and he can give me a big hug. Dad I love you tons!

Flat Stanley

Right now I am in Las Vegas doing my student teaching. I am in 2nd grade and loving it. I had to do a unit with my kiddos so I picked to do Flat Stanley. Flat Stanley is a boy who got flat one night by a bulletin board. He goes on my adventures, so my kids sent out Flat Stanley all over the United States. They had so much fun with it. We learned a lot about the different places.
Here are a bunch of picture we got back. The kids really enjoyed it.

I am really enjoying student teaching but so ready to be back in Oregon. Las Vegas is way to hot for me and I really miss my mom.

Another Great Day At Indy

Well yesterday was another fun day at Indiana Jones. And like all days there is always fun and excitement. Yesterday was no different. Paris Hilton came and I got to load them into their Indy vehicle. It's always fun to see famous people even if you don't like them. -Moe

Why does a man need so many tools.

As we were cleaning out the garage we kept asking ourselves why does dad need 15 standard screw drivers, 5 hammers, and so many sockets. We also want to know how many nails and screw someone needs. We cannot remember the last time he build something. He had more screws and nails then a good hardware store. The more we cleaned, the more stuff we found, that was not worth keeping.

Dad sure loved to fish but how many little boxes and fishing poles does a man need. He loved to go fishing but we cannot remember the last time he caught something.

We loved to go camping as a family but dad always wanted to make sure he had enough stuff to feed the whole camp ground. I think we found 3 big camp stove, 6 little backpacking stoves and 4 mess kits.

We still have the house to clean out. All that stuff was from the garage, shed, and pantry. So if you are a man in need of more tools and stuff come to our garage sale Saturday May 2.

Friday the 13th!!!

Well.. Friday the 13th was quite the day at Disneyland. It all started while I was on my lunch. Sitting in the break room and enjoying a salad, I heard the sound of sweet goodness. Sallah came on and said "Attention My friends! I am indeed sorry but your journey has been interrupted. Please stay in your transport vehicle at all times. You'll be assisted in a moment. I assure you." Yes my friends that means that Indiana Jones broke down. I only had about 5 mins. left of my lunch. When I got back they told me that I need to evacuate everyone off the ride. So we headed out into the temple to get everyone off. After we had been down for about an hour I was asked to head to Big Thunder Mountain to help out. Not only was Indiana Jones down but so was Pirates of the Caribbean and Splash Mountain. So when I got to Thunder I was asked to just sit in the control tower. (Which means I just sit and watch the cameras.) So I was watching the cameras at Thunder in an Indiana Jones costume. (Which never happens.) I was doing my job just watching when all of a sudden so guy stood up on "A" lift (the first lift). What the heck? How smart is that to stand up on a roller coaster. Anyway I told him to sit down and he did. Then he came to the next lift and did it again. That is when I had enough. I hit the emergency stop at 11:30 at night. I had to break down the ride because some guy thought it would be smart to stand up. So it was a great day. I had to hit an e-stop at Thunder in an Indy costume, that has not been down for over 3 years.

Girls Night

Last Friday we had girls night. We ate dinner and played games. We had so much fun. We play Yahtzee and Disney trivial pursuit. Donal won both games. We laughed so much and had such a great night. We cannot wait for our next night.
The girls took the moving pieces from Disney trivial pursuit and put them on there head. It was very funny.

Refrigerator

This is our old one. We got it when we moved into the house 23 years ago. Gotta love harvest gold. It started to make weird noise and we knew it would be going out soon. So when we were at Sears we saw a new one that we fell in love with. So we bought it.
Our new refrigerator.
Once it got to our house we learned that it was to tall to fit in the hole. We had to remove the cabinet above (that you can not reach anyway) to get it to fit. Then mom had to crawl under the house three times to get the ice maker to work. It has been a lot of work to get it all to work just right, but now we have ice cubes and a nice new frig. We love it.

Not Good

So we are not every good at writing things on our blog. Rochelle is the only one that has done anything and is ready for someone else to write something.

Things have been going ok. Mom and I are still have busy. We have been cleaning out the house to get ready for a garage sale May 2. Dad had so much stuff that we are never going to use. We have also been trying to have some fun. We went to monster truck race on Feb. 14th it was so much fun.

Moe is still loving Disneyland and is having tons of fun down there.

Well maybe I will get someone else to write something more exciting until next time.
